And it’s a wrap… The 2011 Fall Deer Season is in the books…it was one of the most successful fall seasons we’ve ever had here in Northwest Kansas & South Central Nebraska…We eclipsed the 180” mark with a Kansas Bruiser and had numerous bucks score over 150 in both Kansas & Nebraska…
We’re booking more hunts than ever a year out, as a result there are only a few Kansas archery and or gun spots remaining for Fall 2012…with the limited number of spots available, the door’s closing for our Nebraska archery & gun hunts also…
Spring Turkey 2012… The prospects for our 2012 Spring Turkey Season look to be a good as ever…we had another great hatch in 2011 and our winter flocks are thriving…I recently had a fall turkey hunter report back after a day in the field that he had counted over 100 Long Beards, in one bunch, and quit counting…I’m seeing big flocks of birds in both Kansas and Nebraska…our harvest average was over two birds per hunter in 2011 and we had great success through the end of May…
Like our deer hunters, the majority of our clients are booking their turkey hunts a year or more in advance…as of today there are still a few prime dates available…however we did have over 20 hunters on a waiting list by the opener of the 2011 spring season…
Late Season Roosters… Have dog will travel…if you still have the itch for some late season Pheasant & Quail Hunting load up the dogs & head to Kansas & Nebraska…our bird numbers are holding up very well, the weathers been great, and most all of the bird hunters have hung it up for the fall & winter…
