The 2016 Kansas Muzzle Loader Deer Season is in the books. Overall, we had great weather for early September and went two for three with our harvest numbers. Highlighted by a Giant Main Frame 4 X 4 that Gross Scored 180″. This early season Muzzle Loader Hunt is becoming more popular each year and our success numbers are a big part of that. We’re just a few short weeks from going into our long stretch of Kansas and Nebraska Deer season. We’ll kick off with Kansas & Nebraska Archery, Nebraska Rifle, and put a wrap on it in December with Kansas Rifle. We booked as many hunters as our management plan would allow for 2016 and we’re well ahead of schedule with our bookings for 2017. If you’re looking to put a hunt together with BGS next fall it would be a good idea to do so ASAP!

When all the dust settles on our 2016 Deer Season, Sandi and I will head South to get rolling on another winter of Saltwater Adventure in The Keys… We’re booked through mid-February 2017, however, there are still dates available for those that would like to purchase a BGS South Membership and join us this winter! & just an FYI… The fishing tends to get better In February and March!

Spring Turkey 2017 seems like a long ways off. We’ve had some incredible hatches the past several years and our bird numbers are reflecting that. I’ve been seeing bands of Toms, Jakes, and not to mention Hens joined together with this year’s broods in numbers that reflect the amazing habitat we’re currently experiencing. Ample and timely rains have created record crops for our farmers and cover for All of our wildlife in Northwest Kansas and South Central Nebraska. Send an email or give me a call for available dates, Spring 2017.
